in which i break my considerable internet silence by ranting about… chairs?
my adaptation of John Kiriakou’s first public prison letter has found publication on firedoglake, the very website that first published the letters themselves. so now i’m working on letter no. 2, but don’t wait on me to read them.

i’ll be the maybeparade table at olympia comics festival this saturday. five separate volumes of comics are in supply. there will be a listening station for alabama chrome comics. also, a box of back-issues of the not-at-all-discontinued series Eight and A Half By Eleven.
i encountered this fellow in a busy bike lane. i thought him dead but he batted his arms when i pinched him by the scruff to remove him to a patch of ivy. he started breathing, and there were no outward signs of the really bad trauma, so i’m hoping he’d just fallen from his nest and was in shock. i sat with him for a little while.
frequenters to tlc might recall that the last time something like this happened a child was born; well wouldn’t you know it but the very next day from the present encounter was my darlin’s birthday.

First comment gets the mixtape and a high quality photocopy of the comic sent to a mailing address of their choosing. For those who visit Portland, Oregon; I’ll be DJing at the Beech Street Parlor on the evening of March 6, and will have mixtapes and printings of all the Alabama Chrome Comics produced thus far. Don’t you wish you visited Portland, Oregon?
